During his time with VBFA, Spencer has established himself as a forward thinker and leader with particular expertise in sustainable design, energy analysis and modeling, life-cycle cost analysis, and LEED design requirements. He has designed high-performing systems for libraries, community and recreation centers, schools, healthcare facilities, laboratories, performing arts theaters, city halls, courts, fire stations, higher education facilities – basically, you name it, he can design it. Spencer has a strong connection to Scotland, where he was married at Dalhousie Castle – yes, in a kilt, which he can be seen sporting at the annual VBFA holiday party.
