This project was designed within a bustling compact urban site adjacent to a large-scale transit hub. The goal was to develop modest lighting design for aa modern central space for the police department to express transparency and accountability for the community. A major focus was safety for employees and visitors with a biophilic design for semi-private staff spaces, and quiet areas for decompressing, and counseling. The soft lighting was designed throughout to lower stress levels and provide a safe and comfortable space for victims. The project maximizes the use of natural daylight and views of the Wasatch Front and Oquirrh mountains.
