VBFA was responsible for the A/E services for replacement of the existing controls system with a new system compatible with the district’s current and up-to-date controls system.
The original building was constructed in 1980. The mechanical system is a central system variable air volume. The controls were all still original pneumatic controls. The owner had determined the building needed the antiquated control system upgraded to DDC controls in order to maintain proper space conditions, remotely monitor the system, and improve the building operating efficiency.
