Destiny Springs Behavioral Health Hospital

Project Summary

The Destiny Springs Behavioral Health Hospital is dedicated to geriatric and complex patient circumstances. Their approach to treating behavioral health as a multifaceted issue requires a holistic approach. The facility is focused on behavioral health but is equipped to serve the needs of cardiology and endocrinology on-site. VBFA contributed our engineering expertise to assist their team in creating a healing and safe environment for all occupants.

VBFA’s experience and focus on healthcare and creating spaces conducive to the wellness of patients was extremely critical to the success of this project. This facility is designed to accommodate future expansions and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient mental health services for adolescents and adults The facility includes four high-acuity geriatric patient rooms allowing the facility to accept medically complex patients. The design of this facility embraces patient comfort and meets patient needs through inclusion of numerous amenities to enhance the patient experience.

The mechanical systems serving the hospital is a VAV-reheat system with rooftop air handlers. VBFA worked closely with the general contractor during the design phase to make sure the project stayed on schedule and within budget. The design was provided in 2-Phases to help expedite the construction schedule.
