Utah State North Capitol Project

Project Summary

VBFA is providing energy engineering for a new five-story building north of the Utah State Capitol that will be designed to house the state’s collection of historic artifacts, including thousands of photos, maps, posters, the original state flag, some of Philo Farnsworth’s first television fusors, and more, worth over $100 million. The building will also include a new conference center and office space. The new building, in addition to a design featuring architectural symbolism in proportion to the main Capitol Building, will be designed to be highly energy efficient and meet the state’s High Performance Building Standard.
