Rome Italy LDS Temple

Project Summary

The Rome Italy LDS Temple, a magnificent architectural marvel, stands as a testament to the growth and presence of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Italy. Completed in 2019, this sacred edifice is located on a 15-acre site in the northeast part of Rome and serves as a spiritual center for the region’s faithful.
The temple’s design draws inspiration from classical Roman architecture, featuring intricate marble work and impressive columns. The three-story, 40,000-square-foot structure houses several sacred spaces, including an ordinance room, sealing rooms, a celestial room, a baptismal font, and administrative offices.

The Rome Italy LDS Temple’s mechanical systems were designed to ensure the building’s long-term sustainability and optimal functionality. The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system utilizes advanced technology to provide energy-efficient climate control, maintaining a comfortable environment for temple patrons year-round. To ensure optimal water management, the plumbing system incorporates high-quality fixtures and materials, while the electrical system features energy-efficient lighting, automatic controls, and backup power sources for uninterrupted operation.

In addition to the main temple building, the temple grounds feature a visitor center, a family history center, and housing accommodations for patrons and temple staff.
